The next novel in my WW2 quartet is almost ready for publication. The story features Phoebe, the daughter of an East Devon farmer, who must take over the family farm alone after her father’s illness.
Phoebe encounters doubt and opposition that a young woman can manage a farm during wartime, but with the help of Land Army girls and Italian POWs, she surprises everyone by not only turning the farm’s finances around but also discovering love in the most unlikely places.
